How do I clear my browser's cache?
When you use a web browser, some information from websites you've visited is stored in your browser's cache. Clearing your cache can fix some problems, such as problems loading on websites.
When you use Windows
Google Chrome
- Click on the three vertical dots at the far right of the menu bar.
- Select "More Tools" and "Delete Browsing Data".
- Select time range Select the checkboxes next to Cookies, Other site data, and Cached images and files.
- Close the browser and launch it again.
Microsoft Edge
- Click on the three dots in the top right corner.
- Click Settings.
- Go to "Privacy search and services"
- Click on the "Choose what you want to clear" option under "Delete browsing data".
- The options that should be highlighted are:
- Web History
- Download history
- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files
- Click "Clear Now".
- Close the browser and launch it again,
Mozilla Firefox
- Click on the three horizontal lines at the far right of the menu bar.
- Select the History and Clear Past History options.
- Select All history as the time range to delete. The options that should be highlighted are:
- Pages visited and download history
- Form and search history
- Cookies
- Cache
- Click Delete.
- Close the browser and launch it again.
When you use an Apple computer
Safari
- Click the Safari menu item in the top left corner (next to the apple icon).
- Select Settings.
- Select Privacy.
- Delete site data, delete now.
- Quit Safari and start it up again.
Mozilla Firefox
- Click on the three horizontal lines at the far right of the menu bar.
- Select the History and Clear Past History options.
- Select All history as the time range to delete. The options that should be highlighted are:
- Pages visited and download history
- Form and search history
- Cookies
- Cache
- Quit Firefox and start it again.
Google Chrome
- Click on the three vertical dots at the far right of the menu bar.
- Select the More tools option
- Select Delete the following items from the beginning of time. The options that should be highlighted are:
- Web History
- Download history
- Cookies and other website and plug-in data
- Cached images and files
- Click Clear browsing data.
- Quit Chrome and open it again.
