My Office/Adobe programs have disappeared? What do I do?

Right now, Office and Adobe Acrobat are automatically updated on our computers. In order for these important updates to be carried out , it is required that the programs be uninstalled on some of our computers, mainly those with older installations. Therefore, even the icons of these programs disappear from the start menu.

The latest version of Office and Acrobat will be installed automatically after a while. You don't have to do anything.

In the meantime, what do I do?

Office

If you need to use Office before the application is reinstalled, there are two options you can choose:

  1. You can use Office over the web (https://office.du.se).
  2. You can start the installation yourself manually from the Company Portal/Company portal. There, the program is called Microsoft 365 Apps for Windows 10.

Acrobat

If you need to use Acrobat before the application is reinstalled, there are two options you can choose:

  1. If you need to read a PDF file before Acrobat has been installed, you can open the file with Microsoft Edge, right-click on the file and choose Open with microsoft edge >

  2. You can start the installation yourself manually from the company portal, you can install Office from the Company Portal/Company portal. There, the program is called Adobe Acrobat DC.
